The mission of STEAM, at Gainesville City Schools, is to encourage the use of technology and provide support for our students and educators in the classroom. The global community is evolving quickly with the use of technology and our students will be able to compete and be ready for the 21st century work force. We will provide onsite and offsite training for the integration of technology in the classroom, and our mission is to transform your classroom into the 21st century with the best possible training, support, and up to date information. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math. STEAM focuses on student learning activities that integrate science and mathematics content standards with engineering and design concepts through the use of technology resources while emphasizing the importance of artistic creativity and critical thinking. Students will use technology daily inside and outside their classroom environment, and will be challenged to use technology in the methodologies of the future.
